The village of Novoivanovskaya, previously known as the Novoivanovsky farm, was founded in 1891 in the Kuban region. It was settled by Orthodox believers who dreamed of having their own church from the very beginning. Thanks to their efforts, in 1895, the first chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker appeared in the farm, located in a wooden school building. However, the chapel was so cramped that it could accommodate no more than 45 people.

On March 23, 1897, a prayer house was opened at the school, built of wood on a stone foundation. Despite the lack of heating and harsh winter conditions, locals attended services even in freezing temperatures. The house had an altar dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1909, the building was covered with iron and bells were installed. However, the prayer house could not accommodate everyone, and the residents began to raise funds for the construction of a new church.

On August 8, 1909, priest Nikolai Paradiev consecrated the site for the future church, which was designed based on the Epiphany Church in St. Petersburg, built in brick Russian style by architect Vasily Antonovich Kosiakov. The construction was overseen by Kuban architect Alexander Petrovich Kosiakin. The work progressed according to plan, and in 1910, the construction of the domes began. In 1911, the walls of the church were plastered and whitewashed, and the iconostasis was ordered according to the approved design by the Diocese. In June 1912, the iconostasis was installed, and on September 15, 1912, the church was consecrated in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. This event was extensively covered in the Stavropol Diocesan Gazette. At the same time, a brick school was built in the village.

In 1929, the church was closed, and attempts were made to destroy it, but the building survived and was used as a grain storage facility. Over time, it began to deteriorate. In 1975, the church was recognized as a monument of local significance, but no funds were found for its restoration, and the destruction continued. In 1980, the dome on the northern altar collapsed.

By the end of the 20th century, the residents of the village achieved the resumption of services in the church. The Krasnodar Diocese commissioned a technical inspection of the building. Emergency restoration work began, which progressed slowly due to a lack of funds. The regional budget allocated 300,000 rubles for restoration. The restoration project was developed by LLC 'Monuments of Kuban', and the work was carried out by LLC 'DEMstroy'.

In 2006, the central dome was restored, load-bearing structures were reinforced, stained glass and crosses were restored, and the right altar, dome, and roof over the altar were restored. In 2007, the consecration of the Intercession Church took place.

In 2008, restoration work on the church continued, and on May 22, the right altar of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was consecrated. The restoration of the left altar of the New Martyrs of Russia and the central altar of the Intercession began.

In 2009, work on the northern altar of the New Martyrs of Russia was completed, and iconostases for the northern and central altars were made.

In 2010, the restoration of the church's interior continued, a road was laid, and the territory was landscaped.

In 2011, the facade of the church and the bell tower were repaired, and stained glass was replaced around the entire perimeter of the building.

In 2012, the unique carved iconostasis of the central altar was restored, and gates and a wicket were installed according to ancient sketches.
