Shipilovo is located by unnamed streams, 14 versts from Yuryev and 55 versts from Vladimir. The village is first mentioned in state charters and contracts of the 15th century as the property of the Moscow princes. In the middle of this century, Shipilovo belonged to Grand Prince Vasily Vasilyevich, who bequeathed it to his son, Prince Yuri Vasilyevich, in 1462. After Yuri, the village passed to his brother, Prince Andrei Vasilyevich Mozhaysky. According to the contractual charters of Grand Prince Ivan Vasilyevich with Prince Andrei Vasilyevich, written in 1481 and 1486, Shipilovo was to remain in Andrei's family after his death. Further information about Shipilovo dates back to the early 17th century. In documents from 1609, it is mentioned as the estate of the murza Saforoleya Izlamov, son-in-law of the Kasimov Tsar Uraz Magmet. It is likely that False Dmitry granted him this estate for service. After the Time of Troubles, Shipilovo returned to the palace administration of the legitimate Moscow tsars.

In the 19th century, Shipilovo belonged to Collegiate Councillor Silin, and later to his wife, Alexandra Pavlovna Silina. The church in Shipilovo likely has ancient origins, as indicated by the charter of Grand Prince Vasily Vasilyevich, where the village is mentioned. However, precise information about it appears only from the 17th century. At that time, there was a wooden church with a bell tower in honor of Saints Boris and Gleb. In the 18th century and until the 1830s, the church had two altars: in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and Saints Boris and Gleb. In 1835, the old church was dismantled, and in its place, thanks to the efforts of Alexandra Pavlovna Silina and the parishioners, a new stone church with a bell tower was built. In 1867, a stone fence with iron grilles was erected. The church has three altars: in the cold part in honor of the Resurrection of Christ and the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and in the warm refectory, in honor of Saints Boris and Gleb.

The church houses two ancient gospels: one published in 1748, the other in 1796, as well as a wooden wedding crown and two iron crowns in the shape of ancient crowns. The church of Shipilovo and the village of Parshi is assigned to the parish of the village of Starkovo, which consists of the village of Shipilovo, where there are 124 households, 363 men, and 397 women.
