The village of Petrovskoye is located 2 versts from the village of Sannikovo, 22 versts from the district town of Kovrov, and 90 versts from Vladimir. The village has had a church dedicated to the holy apostles Peter and Paul since ancient times. According to the records of the Patriarchal Treasury, in 1628 the church was owned by Prince Grigory Petrovich Romodanovsky, in 1656 it was in the estate of the boyar Prince Nikita Ivanovich Odoyevsky, and in 1672 it was transferred to the Suzdal Archbishop.

Today, the village has a stone church with a bell tower and a fence, built in 1851 by the efforts of the parishioners on the site of the previous wooden church. The church has two altars: in the cold part, in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and in the warm altar, in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. All church documents are preserved: copies of the metric books since 1803, confession lists since 1829; an inventory of church property was compiled in 1882 and is kept in the church.

The church is attached to the Sannikovo parish and receives income from bread collections and for sacramental services amounting to 125 rubles. The parish includes the village and the villages of Belebelyka, Kuzemina, and Tretyakovka, which are no more than 2.5 versts from the church. The parish has 45 households, 139 men, and 147 women.
