The church likely existed as early as the 14th century, as evidenced by the name of the village of Semenovskoye, although no specific information from that time has survived. The presence of the church in the early 17th century is confirmed by records in the patriarchal income books, where in 1628 the church of Archangel Michael in the village of Semenovskoye, owned by the Christmas Monastery, is mentioned.

In 1713, the church was struck by lightning and burned down, and the parishioners had no funds to build a new one. Therefore, the archimandrite of the Christmas Monastery appealed to Peter Alexeyevich for permission to use one of the monastery's granaries near Vladimir for construction. Permission was granted, and soon a new church in honor of Archangel Michael was built. This church likely existed until the stone temple in Semenovskoye was erected. The stone church was built in 1793 through the efforts of landowner Anfim Fyodorovich Koptsev. In 1841, a refectory was added to the church; the bell tower, also made of stone, was built simultaneously with the church. The church has three altars: in the cold part in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, in the refectory in honor of Archangel Michael and Saint Martyr George.

Among the church vestments, the priestly and deacon vestments stand out, gifted in 1861 by the late heir Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich. Church documents have been preserved in full: copies of the metric books since 1792 and confession lists since 1829. Nearby, there is a small chapel built on the site of the former church in honor of Archangel Michael.

The church lands include a manor area of 1 desyatina (approximately 1.1 hectares) and 33 desyatinas of arable land. There is no special plan for the land; it is indicated in the plan of the peasant holdings of the village of Semenovskoye. According to the clergy's staff, there is a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. The clergy receives support from the performance of services, interest from capital, grain collection, and land, totaling about 930 rubles per year. The clergy's houses are located on church land. The parish includes the village of Semenovskoye and 12 villages; it has 983 men and 1110 women. Since 1886, a church-parish school has been operating in the village of Semenovskoye, located in a separate house built with private funds.
