The N.I. Lobachevsky Museum was opened on December 1, 2017, in honor of the 225th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist. It occupies the second floor of the 'rector's house'.

The museum's exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of N.I. Lobachevsky as a teacher and rector of Kazan University, as well as the creator of non-Euclidean geometry. One section tells about the emergence and development of non-Euclidean geometry ideas, the history of the Kazan geometric school, and the laureates of the Lobachevsky Prize. In the museum, you can see documentary materials, books, memorial items of Lobachevsky, and a recreated interior of the blue drawing room of his house.

The museum also has an exhibition hall consisting of three rooms, where temporary exhibitions from the collections of Kazan University museums and other museums in the city are held.
