The church with one altar and one dome was built in the Inkerman Monastery in 1894-1895 in memory of the miraculous rescue of the imperial family at the Borki station in 1888. The facade of the building is designed in the classical style, and the altar part is carved into the rock. In 1926, the church was closed, and during World War II, it was destroyed. In 2011, it was restored to its former appearance and reopened.

Since 1991, after the Soviet period, thanks to the efforts of the abbot of the Inkerman Monastery, Archimandrite Augustine (Polovetsky †1996), the brotherhood, and laypeople, the gradual revival of the monastery began. Churches and residential buildings were restored. A particle of the honorable head of St. Clement the Holy Martyr was transferred from Kyiv, and a reliquary with his relics was installed in the side nave of the St. Clement Church.
