Church of the Holy Trinity in Dubrovno

Фото 1
In the 15th-17th centuries, the village of Dubrovno served as the center of the Dubrovsky stan of the Murom district. Since the 15th century, there was a wooden church of Archangel Michael here, which burned down in 1703. In its place, another wooden church was erected, transported from the village of Borisoglebsk, dedicated to Florus and Laurus, next to which there was a sacred spring, the water of which is still considered miraculous.

In 1833, a stone church with three altars was built with the funds of the parishioners: the main one in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity, and in the refectory, in honor of the holy Archistrategos Michael and the holy martyr Paraskeva. During the Soviet years, the church remained open, and church utensils and icons from the entire district were brought here. However, due to a lack of security, all of this was gradually looted.

In 1991, the parish of the Holy Trinity Church was officially registered, but the complete restoration of the church was only finished in the 21st century.
