The main church in the village of Kamyshevo, consecrated in honor of the great martyr George the Victorious, was opened in 1841. In 1861 and 1862, a new porch and bell tower were added to the western side. In 1885, the church became warm due to the installation of two large stoves and double frames. Presumably, around the same time, fresco paintings were completed on the interior walls, which are distinguished by high artistic value and professionalism.

The church was closed in 1938, and in 1995 it returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. The frescoes have only partially survived and show signs of vandalism. Due to temperature and humidity fluctuations, the paint layer and plaster are deteriorating, so urgent restoration is required. Many frescoes have been lost forever. A feature of the fresco subjects is the predominance of images of female saints and patrons of family well-being, as well as protectors of fields and livestock.

In the northern and southern chapels between the windows, Jesus Christ is depicted on the throne. These frescoes are executed with high craftsmanship, but the northern one is in worse condition. Signs of vandalism are visible on the frescoes. In the northern chapel, there may have been a fresco depicting Jesus Christ with a lamb, but it has been lost. In the southern chapel, Christ is depicted in the rare image of the Sower, which is related to the Gospel parable of the Sower. This fresco is also in poor condition.

In the altar part, to the left of the central window, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is depicted, and to the right, "The Agony in the Garden." In the dome of the altar, a fragment of a fresco with six-winged seraphim has survived, but the dome has partially collapsed, and the frescoes have been severely damaged.

The frescoes of the church predominantly feature images of female saints. On the northern wall, the holy martyr Antonina of Nicaea and the holy Eudokia of Iliopolis are depicted. To the left of the entrance are the holy great martyr Catherine of Alexandria and the holy great martyr Barbara. On the pilasters of the northern vestibule, there may have been a fresco of the holy martyr Paraskeva Friday and the holy righteous princess Anna of Kashin.

To the left of the entrance to the southern space are depicted the holy great martyr George the Victorious and the holy martyr Alexandra of Rome. To the right, the holy emperor Constantine the Great and his mother, the holy queen Helena. On the pilasters of the southern vestibule are depicted the venerable Mary of Egypt and possibly the martyr Akilina.

Above the central entrance, there was once a fresco depicting the entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, as evidenced by the remnants of an inscription. The iconography of this feast is based on the Gospel text, where Christ enters the city on a donkey, and people greet him with palm branches. In Russia, palm branches were replaced with willow, which gave the name to the holiday, Palm Sunday.
