In the second half of the 18th century, the village of Nikolskoye in the Borovsky district, including the villages of Papino and Chubarovo, was owned by Alexander Petrovich Glebov. During his time, a large stone house of the estate was built, featuring a lower floor with vaulted ceilings. Behind the house was a rectangular regular garden, extending from north to south, and to the south of the house stood a church.

This layout remained until the mid-19th century, after which the regular park was expanded to the west. In 1878, the bell tower and refectory were rebuilt near the church.

In the first half and mid-19th century, the estate was owned by the Urusov princes, then by landowner Zhukov, and later by F.E. Struve, the owner of the Kolomna locomotive factory. In the early 20th century and until 1917, the owners were A.A. and E.A. Kholetsky.

During the Soviet era, the church was closed and partially destroyed, while the other parts of the estate gradually fell into disrepair, and the park became heavily overgrown. The church building housed a cafeteria for a children's tuberculosis sanatorium.

By the 2000s, the outbuildings were lost, and the main house was in a ruined state: almost all ceilings and parts of the interior walls had disappeared.

As a result of restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the late 2000s and early 2010s, the house was recreated, preserving fragments of the original wall masonry and the basis of the interior layout. Part of the vaults of the first floor remained. In late 2014, an announcement about the sale of the Nikolskoye estate appeared on the website of the Russian Auction House, with a starting price of 821 million rubles.
