The monument to Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin near the Stone Bridge, created by sculptor G. Klimenko, was installed in 1949 in honor of the poet's 150th anniversary, and its unveiling took place in 1950. Architect V. P. Fedorov developed the design for the park, which was arranged with the participation of railway management workers.

It is known that Pushkin visited Kaluga three times. In ancient times, the site of the current park was home to a fortress rampart, and the circular area in the park indicates the location of one of the defensive towers.

Today, the Pushkin monument stands in the park. In October 2015, in honor of Lyceum Day, a fence, benches, lanterns, and a gazebo were installed here.
