After moving to St. Petersburg, the assassination attempts on Prime Minister Stolypin continued, with the most devastating being the explosion at the dacha where he lived and worked with his family. The dacha on Aptekarsky Island was blown up on August 25, 1906, by a maximalist Socialist Revolutionary who was discovered and dropped the bomb-laden briefcase prematurely. As a result, 30 people died, and about seventy were injured. Among the victims were three-year-old Arkady Stolypin and twelve-year-old Natalia Stolypina, who became disabled for life. The memory of the tragedy was immortalized in an obelisk laid by Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin on August 12, 1907; the monument has been restored in modern times.

After the horrific terrorist attack on Aptekarsky Island, the maximalists continued their attempts to kill the Prime Minister, and in December 1906, they prepared a new assassination. This time, the imperial guard acted successfully, and the criminals were apprehended before the attack. However, the conspirators did not stop and continued their attempts. Over time, influential people among Stolypin's enemies emerged. Although he remained popular in the country and in the eyes of Nicholas II, his position became increasingly precarious.

In 1911, major festive events were held in Kyiv, attended by Nicholas II and his entourage, as well as Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin. Today, it is impossible to answer all the questions about the fateful assassination accurately, but the official version seems strange. Nevertheless, this no longer matters much: the shots in the theater ended the life of the great reformer, who was mortally wounded and died on September 18, 1911. Nicholas II was shaken and blamed himself for what happened. With Stolypin's death, the emperor lost a loyal companion and a reliable support. Thus, after surviving 10 known assassination attempts, Stolypin fell victim to the 11th.
