The bridge spanning the Tsna near the Rasskazovsky highway was built in the early 20th century. The name "Curved Bridge" may suggest some defect in the structure, however, no curvature is found in the preserved bridge.

According to archival data, the bridge at this location was also called Curved as far back as the 18th century. This is related to the fact that the Tsna River bends to the right at this point, and the bridge is located on a river bend.

A description of Tambov from 1782 mentions that there were 11 wooden bridges in the city and its surroundings. Most of them, as well as ferries, were maintained and repaired at the expense of local residents, landowners, and merchants.
