The church in honor of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Shebekino was built in the early 2000s on the site of a destroyed church that existed in the second half of the 18th century.

The history of the Logovsky parish spans several centuries. The first wooden church was built in 1764 and lasted for 116 years.

In 1880, when the wooden church became unusable, it was dismantled and a new stone church was erected on the same site. It had one dome and a bell tower, and a rural cemetery was located around it.

With the advent of Soviet power, the church was desecrated and blown up in 1936. Four residential buildings in the village of Logovsky's small plant were built from the remaining bricks. The cemetery was later demolished, and a school was built on the site of the destroyed church. In 1943, the parish community was restored. With the funds from parishioners, a residential house was purchased and converted into a church.

On October 14, 1990, the rector of the church, Archpriest Ioann Timofeev, laid the foundation for a new church. The consecration of the newly built church was conducted by Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Stary Oskol on August 26, 2006.
