The stone church in the village of Panino was built thanks to Countess Kleinmichel, to whom the serfs appealed. The Church of St. Mitrophan of Voronezh in the village of Panino was erected in 1855. A brick with the year 1827 and the surname Kleinmichel is preserved in the wall of the church. Priest Stefan Nesterov, who served as a colonel in the tsarist army before the Great Patriotic War, left a good memory of himself. Under his leadership and with his active participation, a church parish school operated. In 1927, the authorities seized the house and land from the church, but the priest remained in the village, settled with his family in an apartment, and continued to hold services.

In 1938, the collective farm 'Bolshevik' purchased the church from the state and used it for grain storage. During the German occupation, the church was open, but in 1948, by decision of the general assembly of villagers, it was closed again and used as a warehouse.

In August 1990, the Mitrophan Church was reopened. In the spring of 1991, services resumed in the church. The homemade iconostasis was replaced with a new one, donated by the Panteleimon Church of Kursk, which had previously been located in the Sergiev-Kazan Cathedral on the first floor.
