On April 16, 1898, construction began on the building for the future Diocesan School. The work was carried out under the guidance of experienced engineers and was successfully completed in three years.

On September 11, 1901, regional engineer N.F. Kundukhov inspected the new building and found no defects. The newspaper noted:

"The building is a majestic three-story structure with a beautiful facade facing Kotlyarovskaya Street (now Sedina). In terms of size and architectural beauty, it ranks first in the city, second only to the District Court building, and only in terms of size, being a valuable adornment of this part of the city."

The building featured patterned stone masonry, a variety of window openings, and rich facade decor. Above the entrance, at the level of the third floor, colored stained glass was installed instead of glass. Attention was drawn to the high elongated roof covered with scale-like, corrugated galvanized iron and adorned with an ornate gilded canopy, as well as the elegant multi-faceted dome with a shining cross.

The school accepted girls who had completed three grades of church parish school, and they studied there for eight years on a full boarding basis. Upon graduation, they received the title of rural teacher and could teach in gymnasiums up to the fifth grade.

Students were provided with uniforms: a brown wool dress and a black apron, while a white festive apron was allowed for church visits. In the senior classes, the uniform was replaced with a more beautiful purple dress.

In 1913, extensions were added to the main building on the sides, and a separate two-story house was built in the same style.

The last graduation took place in 1917 after the February Revolution. Among the graduates of the Ekaterinodar Diocesan School were many talented primary school teachers. Valentina Khrisanthovna Lototskaya (in marriage Kirlian), known for her sharp mind and research talent, stood out particularly. She, along with her husband, discovered and studied a "new phenomenon" in nature known as the "Kirlian effect."

In 1920-1921, the building housed a hospital. After the Great Patriotic War, a gym was arranged in the part where the chapel was originally located. During the war, the building suffered significant damage, and after reconstruction in 1950, it acquired its current appearance. The facade was simplified, and the dome of the house church and the scale-like roof were demolished.

Currently, the building houses a Medical Academy.
