Merchant Fyodor Alekseevich Mikhailov from Yekaterinburg, seriously ill, bequeathed 500 rubles with interest through the clergy of the Yekaterinburg Cathedral in 1885 for the construction of a cemetery church at the New Cemetery, known as Mikhailovskoye. This was his first contribution. On October 13, 1886, he made a second contribution of 300 rubles with interest through the city council, also for the clergy of the Yekaterinburg Cathedral for the construction of the church at the cemetery. Considering that 12,000 rubles were needed for the construction of the church, Mikhailov's contribution was significant and the first. Therefore, the church is popularly called Mikhailovskaya.

The church was laid on June 8, 1886, and consecrated on June 17, 1900, by His Grace Polycarp, Bishop of Yekaterinburg and Irbit.

The construction was carried out exclusively with funds from merchants Yakov Prokhorovich Andreev, Konyukhov, Alexander Alekseevich Volkov, and others. They chose a place for eternal rest near the church. Merchant Mikhailov passed away at the end of 1886. His house has survived, although it has been significantly rebuilt, and after his death was purchased by lawyer Magnitsky. The house is located on Kolobovskaya Street, now Tolmacheva St., N21.

In 1918, the All Saints Church suffered greatly from a fire, and repairs lasted two years. During this time, the church building received interesting wall paintings created based on sketches under the guidance of P.M. Vasnetsov.

After the church schism in 1922, the Mikhailovskaya Church was handed over to the "Renovationist" community and for some time became the Cathedral of the Renovationists. In the following decades, the church was closed twice, and its decorations and paintings were looted. From 1965, it housed a flower shop of the funeral service trust for a long time, and the altar was desecrated.

The Mikhailovskaya Church was returned to the faithful at the end of 1989 after a two-year struggle of the church community with the authorities. In November 1990, the altar was consecrated in the name of All Saints by Archbishop Melchizedek. Since then, and to this day, the rector has been Archpriest Vladimir Pommer. Thanks to his efforts and the efforts of the parish, the church is being improved, and a baptismal room, spiritual center, and chapel have been built.
