The church in honor of the Resurrection of Christ was built in 1999 thanks to the efforts of parishioners and the Orthodox population of the village of Undory. The construction of the church was also supported by M.A. Gorshkov, the director of the Undory mineral water plant 'Volzhanka', and V.I. Sakharov, the director of the Ulyanovsk branch of 'Samaratransgaz'.

In 1658, a church in honor of the Resurrection of Christ was built in Undory with two chapels: one for the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the other for St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, erected by Count Boris Ivanovich Tolstoy. In 1748, he built a new wooden church as the old one had fallen into disrepair.

In 1802, Count Alexander Vasilyevich Tolstoy erected a stone church in honor of the Resurrection of Christ with a chapel dedicated to the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos 'Kazan', and in 1840, a warm chapel in the name of the Holy Trinity was added.

In May 1980, the ancient pre-revolutionary church was finally destroyed by the decision of local authorities.

In November 1996, a parish community was organized and a prayer house was consecrated. In the same year, a new foundation for the church was laid on the site of the destroyed church.

On March 30, 1999, Bishop Prokly of Simbirsk and Meleksy consecrated the crosses on the domes. In 1999, on the Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, the church was consecrated with a minor rite, and in 2000, it was consecrated by Archbishop Prokly of Simbirsk and Meleksy. The church houses a copy of the Theodorov Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos and ancient icons from the destroyed church.

Since 1870, the local venerated blessed elder, schema monk Anthony, lived in the village and later became a fool for Christ, passing away on July 21, 1942. A bathing facility in honor of Blessed Anthony was built behind the church at the Public Rehabilitation Center. A bathing facility in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was also erected at the church.
