In the early 18th century, the monastery had no other stone buildings besides the cathedral; they only appeared in the second quarter of the century. In 1738, the construction of the warm Tikhvin church with a refectory began, completed after several modifications in the 1740s. This traditional monastic building resembled the Vvedensky temple of the Mikhailo-Arkhangelsky monastery. The similarity was enhanced by the same stone passages between the Trinity Cathedral and the refectory, which have not survived to this day. The decor of the refectory was very modest: simple pilasters at the corners, inter-floor ties, a narrow cornice, and windows in arched niches with slopes gave it a strict appearance. The church itself looked a bit more festive due to the crenellated cornice and framed window casings. In the interior of the refectory and the altar of the church, two magnificent large stoves from the 1730s and 1740s have been preserved, decorated with polychrome Ustyug tiles featuring large cartouches.

In February 1926, the iconostasis of the Nikolayevsky chapel of the Tikhvin church was transferred to the Morozov community. In 1928, the Tikhvin church with the refectory was handed over to an orphanage and isolation ward. All the furnishings of the church were destroyed and desecrated. Later, the church building was used as a home for the elderly.
