In the second quarter of the 15th century, a stone church was built in honor of the holy founder of the monastery, St. Sergius of Radonezh. It was adjoined by a brotherly refectory with a bread house. Hieromonk Samuel began a major reconstruction of the winter Sergius church, adding a new chapel in honor of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God to the existing Nikolsky chapel. The construction and finishing of the church were completed by Samuel's successor, Abbot Nazarius, also known as a practitioner of piety in the 19th century. Under him, in 1833, Metropolitan Philaret Drozdov of Moscow and Kolomna consecrated the newly built church.

Today, the church of St. Sergius is fully restored, along with the adjacent abbot's building. The bell tower with the gate church of the Introduction and the western and eastern brotherly buildings have been restored. These buildings are used for the needs of the Kolomna Spiritual Seminary, located within the walls of the monastery, and in 2010 were transferred by the monastery for gratuitous use to the seminary.
