In the revenue books of the Ryazan diocese for 1676, a church in the village of Klin dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is mentioned. The church had the houses of priests Iakov and Pavel, as well as those of the deacons and prosphora makers. The parish included 5 noble households, one of which housed a janitor, 63 peasant households, and one landless household. In the village of Kurmysh, there were 24 peasant households and 2 landless households. In the village of Onferova, there was a house for clerks, 18 peasant households, and 4 landless households. In the village of Fofanova, there were 13 peasant households. The church land, received from the boyar donations, amounted to 10 quarters, and the hay meadows covered an area of 20 copens.

It is unknown whether the church was wooden or stone, as archival documents regarding the construction of a stone temple have not survived. In 1812, the Vladimir bishop Ksenofont issued a decree for the consecration of the church, but it is unclear whether the church was newly built or simply underwent major repairs. According to local traditions, during this time, the interior of the temple was remodeled, and a new stone bell tower was built. This is confirmed by the fact that the antimins in the Ionno-Theological chapel, which is a later addition, was used in 1800. It is likely that the stone church in the village of Klin was built in the 18th century. In 1815, an altar was arranged in the church in honor of the Mother of God of All Who Sorrow.

In 1864, cracks appeared in the walls of the temple, requiring major repairs and iron cladding. The bell tower remained sturdy but had a slight tilt. The temple has three altars: the main one dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a cold altar in honor of the Evangelist John the Theologian, and a warm altar in the name of the Mother of God of All Who Sorrow.

The church was well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. Among the ancient items, there is a gospel from 1681, covered in velvet and adorned with silver and gold. Its pages bear the inscription: "This holy gospel was presented by Stefan Grigorievich Chirkov through his sister Vassa and through Fedora and Simeon, and was built from her possessions in the Murom district in our ancient estate in the village of Klin for the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the year 1687."

In the late 1930s, the church was closed. In the 21st century, the building of the church in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is undergoing major repairs thanks to the help of benefactors.
