Krasky, also known as Kraskovo, is located 14 versts from Yuryev and 78 versts from Vladimir. In the mid-16th century, Kraskovo was the estate of F.I. Khabarov, who transferred it to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery in 1572. The village remained under the monastery's ownership until 1764, when the monastery's estates were abolished. In the 16th century, there was a church in Kraskovo dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, but it was abolished for unknown reasons in the second half of the century. From 1593 until the 18th century, Kraskovo was mentioned as a village in the patriarchal books.

A new church in Kraskovo was built in 1707 and consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. It was a wooden building with a similar bell tower, and the church existed until 1815. In 1815, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, a stone church was laid, and its construction was completed in 1821. The bell tower and the church fence were also made of stone. The church has two altars: in the cold part, in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and in the warm chapel, in the name of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.
