Church of Nicholas the Wonderworker in Nikolo-Babaevsky Monastery

On the northern side of the monastery, a stone single-story warm church was built from 1817 to 1823. Its dimensions were 14 fathoms in length, 7 fathoms in width, and 15 fathoms in height. The vault of the church was supported by four columns, and there were five domes on top. In the mid-20th century, the church was dismantled.

In 2006, a new small wooden church with one dome and a bell tower was built on the site of the dismantled church. This became possible thanks to the efforts of Metropolitan Simon Novikov, who chose Nikolo-Babaevsky Monastery as his place of rest. On August 11, 2006, the altar of the church was consecrated, which had been used for the installation of a monument to Lenin after the monastery was closed.
