Фото 1
The church in the village of Lednevo existed as early as the beginning of the 16th century. In the patriarchal refusal books for 1593 and 1594, the village of Lednevo with the church of Cosmas and Damian is mentioned, next to which were the houses of the priest, the deacon, and the prosphora baker. In the salary books of the patriarchal order for 1628, it is listed under the heading "The Life-Giving Trinity of the Sergiev Monastery in the estates of these churches in various cities," where it is stated: "Yuriev Polsky, the church of the holy miracle workers Cosmas and Damian in the village of Lednevo."

The church, dedicated to the same holy unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian, was built in 1805 with the funds of the parishioners to replace the dilapidated wooden one. This stone building has the same bell tower and fence. The church has two altars: one in the cold part in honor of Saints Cosmas and Damian, and the other in the warm chapel in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Church documents include copies of metric books from 1805 and confession lists from 1833. An inventory of church property was compiled in 1876. According to the staff, the clergy includes a priest and a psalmist. The parish includes the village and the villages of Ryabinki and Bazlovka, totaling 85 households, 274 men, and 298 women. The church of the village of Lednevo and the village of Yelets also has a parish from the village of Nikulsky.
