The parish of Osinova Gora includes the village and villages: Petelino, Taptykovo, Nikitino, Yelovaya, and Maloye Krivoluchye. The exact date and circumstances of the formation of the parish of Osinova Gora are unknown, as historical records have not survived. In its current composition, the parish became known from 1784, according to local church documents. The name "Osinova Gora" was given to the village due to its location on a hill that was previously covered with aspen forest.

The church in honor of the Kazan Mother of God, with altars in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, was built in 1805 by the local landowner, second lieutenant Dmitry Alexeyevich Khruchev. It replaced the previous wooden church, about which there is no information on when and by whom it was built and why it was abolished.

The architecture of the church was majestic, and the interior decoration was splendid. Since 1886, a church school operated at the church, located in a well-appointed two-story church house. The church is an example of rural church architecture.

In the 1920s, the church was closed, later looted, and used as a grain storage and for packaging pesticides. To this day, an architectural monument has survived: a brick building of complex shape, with a high square base and windows of the second light, a single-part apse to the east, a four-pillar refectory to the west, and a partially preserved bell tower. The vault of the refectory is destroyed, the roof over it is lost, the roof of the altar is partially destroyed, and the top of the bell tower has not survived.

In 2011, local residents, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexey Kutepov of Tula and Belev, created a community registered as a legal entity. The church building was transferred to the parish for long-term use, and its phased restoration began.

In 2014, the rector of the church became Archpriest Vyacheslav Gennadyevich Kovalevsky. On July 21, 2014, on the feast day, the first Divine Liturgy was held, after which services began to be conducted once a month.

Since 2016, the rector of the church has been Archpriest Mironyuk Yaroslav Vasilyevich. Since then, with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexey of Tula and Efremov, services have been regularly held on Sundays and holidays.

Currently, the roof of the altar, windows, iron doors of the bell tower, and doors of the side entrances have been restored. A temporary altar, table, and sacrificial altar have been built. The floors have been partially restored, and partial electric heating has been installed.
