The village of Malinovka is first mentioned in the partial census of 1710 under the name Poganka. During the Soviet era, it was renamed after a small river flowing nearby. The Orthodox parish was established here in 1785, and a cold single-altar wooden church was built in 1868-1869 with funds from the parishioners. In the 1930s, the church was closed and converted into a village club, which burned down in the 1950s.

The modern stone church, dedicated to the Epiphany of the Lord, was built in 2005-2006. It features a square base covered with semi-cylinders and adorned with an onion dome on a low neck. On the eastern side, a semicircular altar apse adjoins the main building, while a small narthex with a small bell tower above it is located on the western side.
