The village of Chubovka was founded in 1732 during the construction of the Novo-Zakamsk defensive line. Initially, it was called "Fedorovskoye" in honor of the squad leader S. Fedorov. This is the oldest settlement in the Kinelsky district. The name "Chubovka" is related either to the shape of the mountain resembling a Cossack chub or to the surname of the first residents, the Chubov brothers. The Chubovsky spring on Krasnaya Gorka, known as the Big Spring, has existed for over two centuries and is a protected natural monument of regional significance. It is consecrated in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin and is located near the church of the same name on the eastern outskirts of the village of Chubovka in the Kinelsky district of the Samara region. The first church was built in 1769 and consecrated in the name of the Protection of the Mother of God. The modern two-altar brick Protection Church was built from 2009 to 2015, with the domes and crosses installed in 2012. The temple has one dome and a three-tiered bell tower, and the Nikolsky chapel is located in the basement. In 2016, a men's Protection Monastery was established at the church.

The revered spring in Chubovka was filled in the 1930s, but in the early 1980s, it was cleared, a wooden frame was installed, and the area was arranged. In 2007, the source was consecrated, and in 2014, a metal chapel-shelter and a bathing area were built, with the chapel consecrated in November of the same year. The springs on the territory of the Chubovka rural settlement, located on the bank slope of the river Krasnaya Gorka, were declared a natural monument in 1987.
