In the early 19th century, a new greenhouse was established in the Tsaritsyn estate for growing grapes. The high-quality grapes were intended for sale and supply to the Imperial table in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Of all the greenhouses, the Grape Greenhouse lasted longer than the others, which were dismantled by the 1880s, making way for summer cottages. The Grape Greenhouse building was initially rented out for a "starch establishment," where the tenant made several extensions, but after a fire, he ceased operations. For ten years, manufacturers attempted to use the greenhouse for production, but the lack of sufficient water and the summer cottage area made this impossible.

Ultimately, the white-stone building with a wooden floor shared the fate of other Tsaritsyn structures. Until 1917, it housed a summer cottage, then communal apartments. By the 1990s, the building had turned into ruins.

In 2008, the Grape Greenhouse building was restored, partially on its historical foundation. Today, many plants from the historical assortment of Tsaritsyn greenhouses can be seen here: figs, pomegranates, agaves, cacti, citrus trees, and grapes.
