From the central street of Rostov, one can see the oldest residential building in the city, the estate from the early 19th century, previously owned by the factory owners and honorary citizens of Pereslavl, the Temeriny family. The spacious mansion is designed in the classical style and is modestly decorated: the facades are adorned with simple rustication, and a plain pediment is located at the center. Inside the house, beautiful tiled stoves, stucco work, and other elements of the antique interior have been preserved.

Nearby are the ruins of the Temeriny manufactory, a rare example of an 18th-century industrial building, as well as two outbuildings: a stable and a kitchen. On the first floor of the mansion, there were once a buffet, storerooms, and a cloakroom, while on the second floor, there were a living room and bedrooms.

In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, the Temeriny family was one of the wealthiest and most influential in Pereslavl. In 1781, first guild merchant Vasily Vasilyevich Temeriny founded a linen factory and held important city positions. From 1787 until his death in 1789, he served as the first burgomaster of the Pereslavl Magistrate. His son, Alexei Vasilyevich, became the mayor of Pereslavl in 1797. Later, this position was held by his son, Andrei Alexeyevich, who built the mansion. In 1848, Andrei Andreevich Temeriny and his brother Pyotr Andreevich, an honorary citizen of Pereslavl, were granted hereditary nobility for their contribution to the development of Russian industry.

Portraits of the members of the Temeriny family, created by the artist Pavel Kalendas, can now be seen in the collection of the Pereslavl museum-reserve. The former Temeriny mansion now houses the city military enlistment office.
