In the Utynskoye rural settlement of the Bryansk region lies an abandoned gem of 18th-century estate architecture. This once-prosperous noble estate now stands in ruins, surrounded by a wild apple orchard, awaiting its end.

The estate, built in the classical style, was constructed in the early 18th century. In 1833, it was passed as a dowry to the noblewoman Varvara Molchanova when she married Andrei Mikhailovich Gulevich.

The three-story brick house with plastered walls occupied an area of over 1000 sq. m. The facade was adorned with two Tuscan columns supporting the second-floor balcony.

On the low first floor with vaulted walls were utility and service rooms.

The second floor was designated for grand halls and rooms with high ceilings. Now, one can only ascend to it via a mound of broken bricks and earth, as the staircase is destroyed. The third floor, known as the mezzanine, contained small living rooms with low ceilings. The ceilings between the second and third floors have not survived.

At the end of the garden stood the distillery of Count Gulevich, which was the largest in Russia, but it has not survived to this day.

Local residents recount that an underground passage, lined with red bricks, led from the estate's basement to the river. The entrance to the tunnel was located under the staircase on the first floor, but it is now blocked.

During the Soviet era, the Gulevich estate housed a primary school, then a cultural palace, and later the house became residential. In the 1980s, an attempt was made to restore the estate, but in 1992 a fire occurred, after which the building was abandoned.
