Countess Monzhen's estate is the ruins of a once majestic two-story palace from the 19th century, surrounded by an exquisite park. This former estate, located in the village of Pionerskoye near Simferopol, is in a secluded spot yet close to residential houses. A straight road, now known as Alley Street, leads to it.

The main building of the estate was constructed in the late 19th century by the famous architect Klausen and is designed in the neo-Gothic style. The house resembled a medieval castle: its main facade was adorned with a three-story tower, and round towers with battlements flanked it. A wide staircase led to the grand entrance, and the palace's decor featured stucco ornaments. A garden with fountains was laid out around the castle, and iron lattice gates stood at the entrance. During the revolutionary years, the estate, like many other homes of noble families, was nationalized.

During the Great Patriotic War, the estate suffered significant damage. In 1947, restoration began, and the building was transformed into an orphanage. After the boarding school closed, the rooms were allocated to local residents in need of housing. Over time, the villa became a communal apartment and then a dormitory, and the village was named Children's.

When temporary residents left the estate, it began to deteriorate. The walls were dismantled for building materials. Several attempts by private individuals to privatize the territory, restore it, and establish a restaurant or hotel were unsuccessful.

Nevertheless, lovers of historical landmarks believe that even the remnants of the palace deserve attention. The outer walls, staircase, and wing have survived. The unique plasterwork and battlements on the tower allow one to recognize the noble origins of the estate. The partially ruined facade displays the coat of arms of the former owners, depicting a winged horse with a human face. In the park, a poplar alley and a round pool still exist, albeit without a fountain. The ruins of the former palace evoke sadness, but its grandeur can still be felt.
