The village of Alexeytsevo, lost in the Yaroslavl expanses, like any corner of Russia, holds its past. However, to learn about it, one must make an effort, as the old-timers are leaving, and the truth is distorted and forgotten, turning into legends.

The estate and the house itself have undergone numerous changes. Originally, the house was three stories: the first two floors were stone, while the third was wooden. The first floor housed the grand rooms: a living room and a large dining room with a kitchen. The second floor was occupied by the private quarters of the owner, his wife, and daughters, as well as guest rooms. The third floor was for the servants. There were two wide staircases leading to the second floor and one to the third. The house had 12 stoves that provided warmth.

The estate was rich: it had stables, a cow shed, a chicken coop, as well as a large garden and park, recognized as a natural monument of regional significance. On the park's territory, local residents dug a round pond, the bottom of which was tiled on one side. Many servants worked in the house, among whom there were only two men: a watchman and a janitor. The owner's family consisted of himself, his wife, and, according to local tales, spoiled daughters. The landowner, although he loved entertainment, was kind to the peasants and enjoyed their respect.

During the Soviet era, the manor house was used as a dormitory, then it housed a boarding school, and later, a children's camp.
