The Trinity Cathedral in the Pskov Kremlin is one of the most important architectural monuments of Pskov. It was founded over a thousand years ago at the behest of Princess Olga. However, the original structure has not survived to this day, and the current church dates back to the end of the 17th century. During this time, the cathedral has been rebuilt several times: the first building burned down, the second collapsed, and the third met the same fate as the first. Only the fourth structure, completed in 1699, has survived to the present day.

The modern building of the Trinity Cathedral is entirely made of stone, its height exceeds seventy meters, and the walls are notably thick. By the time of its construction, the history of the cathedral already spanned over seven centuries. Many prominent figures have visited here, including Alexander Nevsky, who prayed for help in the battle against the knights. The cathedral housed the relics of Saint Prince Dovmont and the tomb of Novgorod Prince Vsevolod, which survived the destruction of the previous buildings.

Today, the Trinity Cathedral remains one of the main shrines of Pskov land. Its construction lasted almost a hundred years, and it resembles the churches of the Moscow principality. Nothing remains of the cathedral's former appearance, and its architectural style has completely changed. During the Soviet era, the cathedral was closed but not destroyed; it was used as an anti-religious museum. In the 1990s, it was returned to the faithful, renovated, and consecrated again. Now, regular services are held in the cathedral, and everyone can enjoy this monument of antiquity.
