The monastery refectory is located behind the Kazan Cathedral. It was built in 1893 on the site where the estate of the Kaligins, the first owners of the Shamordino estate, once stood.

This is the first stone building in the monastery, designed by architect R. I. Klein with funds from S. V. Perlov. The two-story structure features a high ceiling and large bright windows and is connected to the cathedral by a stone passage. Thanks to the efforts of the Perlov couple, it was equipped with modern household facilities and provided with dining and tea utensils.

During the period of persecution, the refectory was completely devastated.

In 1997, it was restored and consecrated. The second floor was renovated to include spacious halls for the sisters and guests, as well as a kitchen. The first floor was created for food processing: a dairy workshop for milk processing, a canning workshop for year-round supplies, as well as fish and confectionery workshops. A separate drying room for mushrooms and fruits was also arranged. In the monastery, meals are held twice a day, accompanied by readings of the works of the holy fathers and the lives of the saints. Daily, pilgrims are fed here, and on festive days, up to 500 worshippers gather at the table simultaneously.
