In the mid-19th century, match production began to develop in the Penza province. A resident of the village of Zasechnoe, Stepan Petrovich Kamendrovskiy, built a match factory in Nizhny Lomov in 1858. Soon after, the merchant A.P. Peremyshlin opened production in Verkhny Lomov, followed by A.G. Sheikin. The year 1858 is considered the beginning of our factory's history.

In 1899, S.P. Kamendrovskiy began constructing a large match factory in Verkhny Lomov. After his death in 1900, the factory passed to his son, F.S. Kamendrovskiy, and production started in 1901.

The factories of F.S. Kamendrovskiy and A.P. Peremyshlin operated until 1918, when they were nationalized. Kamendrovskiy's factory was named "Pchyolka," and Peremyshlin's, "Muravey." In 1922, they merged into the factory "Pchyolka-Muravey," which was renamed "Pobeda" on April 24, 1923. From that moment, the factory took on its modern form.

Before the war, the factory developed steadily, supplying products to the entire Volga region. The Great Patriotic War did not materially damage the factory, but it took almost all the male workers to the front.

After the war, the factory quickly restored its production capacity and repeatedly fulfilled five-year plans ahead of schedule. Over the sixty post-war years, the factory not only developed production but also actively participated in building housing for workers, improving the village, and engaging in cultural and sports activities. This work continues today.

In 1992, as a result of privatization, the factory changed its name to OAO "Fakel," on the basis of which, on November 1, 2000, LLC "Match Factory 'Pobeda'" was established.
