The history of Soviet passenger cars is closely intertwined with the history of our country. The automotive industry began to develop in the 1930s when the young Soviet republic, building its economy, needed means of transportation.

The USSR turned to the Americans for help, and soon the country had an automobile factory, as well as the first Soviet cars.
