The Epiphany Cathedral, dedicated to the Epiphany of the Lord, is a brick temple faced with white stone, construction of which began in the late 14th century and continued until the first half of the 18th century. It was built with funds from Abraham, who was also involved in the construction of the Moscow Andreevsky Monastery. The cathedral has undergone numerous repairs and reconstructions, especially after the devastating fire of 1718. From its ancient decoration, stone floors and fragments of 19th-century wall paintings have survived. In the basement, one can see the foundation of the temple from the late 14th century. The modern cathedral stands on the site of a white-stone temple from the 14th century. Until 1947, it was surrounded by a vaulted gallery on three sides. The cathedral contains chapels dedicated to the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The Epiphany Cathedral, dating from the first half of the 18th century, preserves in its basement the foundation of the first temple and the steps that, according to tradition, were walked by St. Sergius of Radonezh, known as the 'stones of the Blessed.' In 2007, at the initiative of the Governor of the Moscow Region B.V. Gromov, the cathedral was fully restored and consecrated on May 15 by the rite of great consecration by Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna.
