In 1872, the dilapidated royal palace was demolished. Most of the resort buildings from the Peter the Great era had fallen into disrepair and collapsed, and in their place, the village of Dvortsы appeared.

Today, only the wooden church of the apostles Peter and Paul, built in 1721 by the design of Peter I himself, remains in Marcial Waters.

Interest in the springs revived in the 1930s. Marcial waters and mud from Lake Gabozero, located 1.5 km from the springs, were once again used for therapeutic purposes.

February 7, 1964, became the date of the revival of the first Russian resort. On this day, the all-Union sanatorium "Marcial Waters" was ceremoniously opened.

Today, the resort "Marcial Waters" is known as a health resort complex and a monument of Russian historical and cultural heritage. The favorable climate, rich nature, healing springs, and Gabozero therapeutic mud make the sanatorium an excellent health resort.
