One of the remnants of the totalitarian past in Kronstadt is a modest memorial stone, installed at the site of the St. Andrew's Cathedral, which was destroyed by the Soviet authorities. Built in 1817, this stone is located in Catherine Park and weighs 3,300 kilograms. On its front side, there is a plaque with the inscription:

"Here stood the Cathedral of St. Andrew the First-Called, where the Great Prayer Warrior of the Russian Land, the Holy Righteous Father John of Kronstadt, served for 53 years. The cathedral was founded in 1817 and destroyed in 1932. May this stone remind us of the need to restore the desecrated shrine."
