Monument 'No to Genocide!'

Фото 1
In 2015, a monument titled 'No to Genocide!' was erected in Rostov-on-Don. Its opening took place on October 25 and was timed to the centenary of the genocide of the Armenian people perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire. As a result of this genocide, organized by the Turks, 1.5 million Armenians were killed, who, having no guilt in the defeats of the Turkish army, became the 'scapegoats' for the Ottomans.

The monument, dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide, was installed near the Armenian church Surb-Arutyun, and its creation was the result of the work of a group of Armenian architects. A large number of people gathered for the opening ceremony. The Consul General of Armenia in the Southern Federal District, Ararat Gomtsyan, delivered a speech, emphasizing the significance of the event and expressing gratitude to those present.
