The new trading house, which no longer exists, was an important trading facility in Saratov. It was located on Theater Square, between the chapel and the art museum, on the side of Radishchev Street.

In the early 19th century, this square, then called Bread Square, was on the outskirts of Saratov and was known for its rapidly developing bread market. In 1854, a single-story trading house was built here for the convenience of traders and buyers, which became a competitor to the old one on Museum Square. In 1895, the building was reconstructed according to the design of S. I. Tikhomirov. After the old trading house was demolished, this elegant and large structure became the center of Saratov trade and the Upper Market, but only for a little over two decades. In 1918, the building was destroyed by fire and was not restored. Today, a park and a board of honor are located on this site.
