Cape Fiolent is located 15 kilometers from the center of Sevastopol in the direction of Yalta. Here begins the Main (Southern) ridge of the Crimean Mountains, which stretches to Cape Ilya near Feodosia.

According to legend, it was at Cape Fiolent that the Apostle Andrew the First-Called first set foot on Crimean soil to preach the Gospel.

The George Monastery is located at Cape Fiolent.

On August 20, 1996, a landscape reserve of national significance "Cape Fiolent" was established in the area, covering an area of 31.7 hectares.
