On October 29, 2009, a new museum "Portomoynya" opened, representing a unique monument of history and culture, the only one of its kind in the Republic of Tatarstan.

This ancient building is made of rubble stone. Behind the wooden door, the atmosphere of a typical 19th-century laundry is recreated: female figures lean over tubs, rinsing laundry. Around are yokes, baskets, and buckets with linen, items directly related to the washing process. Texts on the stands tell about the history of soap making and washing methods in different historical periods.

Interestingly, in August 1941, this laundry was visited for household needs by the poetess M.I. Tsvetaeva, who rented an apartment across the street in the Brodelsky house. The museification of this object became a logical completion of the Marina Tsvetaeva Memorial Complex.

This is a monument of local significance, dating back to the mid-19th century.
