The Kovrov Motorcycle and Sports Museum, opened in August 2018, is located within the Ice Palace "Kovrovets" sports complex.

Its collection features 28 motorcycles produced by the Kovrov factory named after V. A. Degtyarev. The exhibition spans from the first K-125 "Kovrovets," which appeared in 1946, to modern examples of mini-motorcycles.

The museum's goal is to showcase the stages of motorcycle production development in Kovrov to the residents and visitors of the city, as well as to tell the stories of the people, designers, and workers who created the famous "Kovrovets" and "Voshod" motorcycles. Over the years of the factory's existence, more than 7.7 million motorcycles have been produced, including sports models, the production of which began in the mid-1950s. Since then, motorsport has actively developed in Kovrov, starting with motocross. Since 1957, the All-Union Winter Motocross for the V. A. Degtyarev factory prize has been held here, attracting athletes and spectators from across the country to Shirinaya Mountain. In 1973, the first motorcycle polo match took place in the city, and today Kovrov hosts the European Championship in this sport.

The new exhibition features motorcycles of famous Kovrov racers V. B. Marov and V. A. Volkov, various modifications of motorcycle polo bikes, as well as photographs, awards, and interesting exhibits from Kovrov motocross riders and motorcycle polo players.

The second part of the exhibition is dedicated to the history of sports development in Kovrov, with nearly every sports federation presenting its exhibits in the museum.
