Фото 1
The Museum of Gold Mining History was opened on July 14, 2007, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the North Yenisei District. The initiator and inspiration for its creation was the head of the district. Local residents actively responded to the call and began donating various items and documents to the museum. As a result, by the time of its opening, the museum's collection numbered about three thousand exhibits, of which 1,081 were displayed in the exhibitions.

In the museum's foyer, there are portraits of honorary citizens of the district, photographs of local landscapes, poems by local poets, a visitor map, and a guestbook.

The first hall of the museum is dedicated to the beginning of gold mining in the district, as well as the culture and everyday life of the first prospectors. The second hall tells about the feats of Siberians during wartime. The third hall introduces visitors to the process of extracting the precious metal. Information about the Soviet period can be found in the fourth hall, while the fifth hall features temporary exhibitions.

One of the advantages of the museum is that admission is completely free.
