Фото 1
The museum introduces visitors to the history of the formation and development of the city of Khlynov from its founding until 1780 in an interactive format. The exhibition of the Museum of the History of Khlynov will be interesting to a wide audience: the accessible presentation of material and modern technologies allow for a complete immersion in the atmosphere of the ancient city. The museum includes three halls, each dedicated to a specific era in the city's development, from its founding to the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.

Many exhibits in the museum are unique, such as the model of the Khlynov Kremlin, recreated with high accuracy, and lists of icons of the Savior Not Made by Hands, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and St. Tryphon of Vyatka. One of the main objects is a diorama that occupies an entire wall and transitions into three-dimensional objects. Also presented is a model of the ushkuya, the boat used by ushkuyniks, and an accurate working replica of a medieval cannon cast in Elets. This cannon is operational and can be fired.

In the museum, one can see bows, axes, arrows, swords, spears, and polearms created by modern craftsmen with maximum historical accuracy. Visitors can try on these exhibits and feel the spirit of a bygone era. Historical artifacts temporarily provided by archaeologists are also on display.

In the folk crafts hall, workshops on various ancient arts, such as calligraphy, pottery, and the making of protective dolls, are regularly held.
