The memorial museum of Army General M.S. Malinin is part of the Kostroma State Historical, Architectural, and Art Museum-Reserve and is located in the depths of the Kostroma region, in the birthplace of the general, in the Antropovo district.

The grand opening of the museum took place on May 9, 1990.

The house where the Malinin family lived until 1959 was moved to the village of Antropovo from the village of Polutino in the late 1980s and became the memorial part of the museum.

On the site of the former yard, there is now a hall dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Army General Mikhail Sergeyevich Malinin.

The museum features two permanent exhibitions: "He Served the Motherland Honestly," which tells about the combat and life path of M.S. Malinin, and "In the House of the Malinin Family," where visitors can learn about the genealogy, lifestyle, and principles of the family that raised the famous commander, as well as see the furnishings of a peasant hut and the traditions of the Kostroma region in the early 20th century.

The museum was awarded the Commemorative Medal "65 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" for its active work with veterans and contribution to the patriotic education of citizens, as well as received an Honorary Certificate from the Fund of Victory Commanders and a Letter of Gratitude. In 2015, the museum became a laureate of the All-Russian Historical and Literary Prize "Alexander Nevsky."
