The founder of museums in the Nagaybak district was Alexey Mikhailovich Mametyev, who restored the national identity of the Nagaybak people. He was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a local historian, and a publicist who created unique books about the Nagaybak district and its residents.

The idea of creating a local history museum in his homeland arose after visiting museums and art galleries in German cities. The realization of this dream began with the acquisition of the house of the centurion Fyodor Nikitin, and in 1985, a local history museum opened in the village of Fershampenuaz.

These initial steps in the development of museum work became an important event not only for the Nagaybaks but also for other peoples living in the Nagaybak district. Soon, thanks to the efforts of Alexey Mikhailovich and his like-minded individuals, museums were opened in the village of Paris, the settlements of Ostrolensky and Kasselsky, the Stone House, and an art gallery in the village of Fershampenuaz.

The exhibition halls of the museum in the village of Fershampenuaz present materials that tell about the history of the Nagaybaks, their culture, and the history of the Nagaybak district. The first hall is dedicated to thematic exhibitions, where information about the museum's founder, A. M. Mametyev, can also be found, including his personal belongings, scientific works, and manuscripts. The second hall is dedicated to the participation of the residents of the Nagaybak district in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, featuring photographs of war participants, front-line letters, and military uniforms.

The third hall displays household items, tools, and samples of folk costumes.

The museum occupies three rooms with a total area of 90 square meters. Its collection includes about 3,500 exhibits, of which 1,785 items are in the main fund.
