On March 28, 2014, the day of the founding of 'Kostroma Antiquity', a warm and welcoming opening of the exhibition center, the Museum 'Provincial City of Kostroma', took place. Guests who showed interest in the new museum were greeted and informed about future plans and prospects. Everyone present had the opportunity to express their wishes and give advice. Among the speakers were not only well-known Kostroma figures in history, culture, and art, but also guests from Moscow. Hopes were voiced for active youth participation in this common cause. Visitors expressed a desire for the new museum to become a center for uniting local historians and all those who care about the history of the Kostroma region.

In the summer of 2013, thanks to the support of the governor of Kostroma region, S.K. Sitnikov, the KOOCO 'Kostroma Antiquity' received a free space of about 300 square meters for exhibition activities. This standalone building is located in the Red Rows, literature 'G' of the Small Rows, and has two floors with four separate halls.

On the second floor, exhibitions are presented: 'Seasons', a temporary exhibition of unique works by Kostroma jeweler-enameler Nikolai Suslov, which will be available until the end of the year, and 'Kostroma Trading', a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of the Trading Rows and life in Kostroma from the late 18th to the early 20th century.

On the first floor, only one hall has been fully restored, which is interactive. Here, one can enjoy the atmosphere of the 19th century, try elite coffee from a cezve, and make new friends. Every Friday, 'coffee gatherings' are held in this hall for friends and guests of the museum.

In the second hall, after major repairs, an exhibition dedicated to the Soviet era is planned to be opened.
