Maria Nikolayevna Mordasova (1915, 1997) was a Soviet and Russian singer, known for her performances of Russian folk songs and chastushkas. In 1981, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR, and in 1987, she became a Hero of Socialist Labor.

She was born on February 1 (14), 1915, in the village of Nizhny Mazovka, now known as the village of Chernyanoye in the Tambov region, into a large peasant family of Yarkins.

Initially, Maria sang in the school choir, and then in the village club. Even during her school years, she began working as a milkmaid, and after graduating from school, she became a team leader. In 1938, she participated in an amateur art review in Tambov. Later, after moving to Voronezh, she worked at a sewing factory.

Maria graduated from the Kursk Music College, which is now named after G. V. Sviridov.

In 1943 and 1972, she was a soloist of the Voronezh Russian Folk Choir, and then worked at the Voronezh Regional Philharmonic. Mordasova was an original performer, a collector, and the author of more than 300 songs, chastushkas, and refrains, and also led the chastushka group of the choir.

She toured throughout the USSR and beyond.

Maria Nikolayevna passed away on September 25, 1997, and was buried at the Komintern Cemetery in Voronezh.
