Mikhailov Gates in Kolomna Kremlin

Фото 1
The arched gates, measuring 3 meters in width and 5 to 6 meters in height, were built in the 1520s during the construction of the stone Kremlin wall on the site of the wooden gates from the 14th century. They are named after their proximity to the Church of Archangel Michael. In the 16th century, the gates were bricked up, and in the 1970s, they were reopened and restored. This site is recognized as a monument of history and culture of federal significance in Russia.
